About Me

My photo
Believe it or not I have just discovered the fascinating world of blogging. What a wonderful way to share beautiful photography and make new friends and get great ideas! Most of our lives revolve completely around work and very little time to explore our creative side. I actually went to school to be a decorator, but took a different path. I still believe I have a passion for anything and everything creative!

I am crazy for peppermint decorations!

I am an extreme collector of carolers...all kinds of them!  They make
fun companions in the kitchen candy village!

A candy gingerbread man stands guard on the upper cabinet in the kitchen!

Another view of the "helpers" on the kitchen counter....Looks like they
are up to some Christmas baking!!

Nutcrackers are also guarding the upper kitchen cabinets!

Cortney assists Abby with her veil!

Abby's best friend Cortney was her maid of honor.  They love to pose for silly pictures!

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner was so lovely.  It was held at the General Morgan in Greeneville, Tn.  and was decorated by some of Cindy's best friends.  They were awesome and helped not only at the rehearsal, but at the wedding as well. Abby and her Dad were both ready for the actual rehearsal!

I had a wonderful time seeking creative wedding ideas.  A friend introduced me to Pinterest while I was putting together thought and am totally addicted to the site now.  It is awesome for helping stir up those creative juices!  Here is one suce idea - I had a friend make these beautiful signs.  She happens to be a professional artist and did a great job!

Abby and Marcus Wedding

The day finally got here- and is now a distant memory.  Everything went great, it was a beautiful day and I think we all really enjoyed the festivities.

I was a little surprised at how much emotion was involved as the actual day approached and I realized I was really going to be sending my daughter into another part of her life. While I was excited about her new life, I was sad to feel like she was not going to be "my baby" any longer. I suppose all mothers feel the same way.
